The annual Hungkuang Cup Singing Contest finals were held at Yulin Hall on October 26th. The annual music event hosted by the student union is an anticipated singing competition every year. Not only does it showcase countless outstanding singing talents of students, it provides a stage for singing for all students on campus. At the opening, Student Affairs Dean Chen Chih-ming was invited to cheer for the contestants. The champion this year was Huang Sing-jui from the Department of Hair Styling and Design.
每年一度的弘光盃歌唱決賽於10月26日假毓麟館辦理，每年學生會主辦的音樂盛事，每年備受期待的歌唱比賽不僅展現學生無數優秀的歌唱才華，為全校學生提供了一個歌唱平臺，開幕時特邀請陳志鳴學務長為選手們加油打氣，比賽結果第一名由美髮造型設計系黃星睿奪得。
There were 49 sign-ups for the preliminaries on October 19th this year. The contestants demonstrated their unique singing styles and talents. However, due to intense competition, only half could successfully advance. After selection by 2 judges, 21 contestants entered the finals. The elimination system in the preliminaries increased the competitiveness and anticipation in the finals.
Student Union President Huang Chun-hsiang said, “The idea for the ‘Hungkuang 5 Lights Award’ this year originated from an early Taiwanese singing competition, the 5 Lights Award. We wanted to provide Hungkuang students an opportunity to perform on stage and have a time to showcase their talents. That’s how it came about.” To promote attention to the singing competition on campus, the Student Union specially invited participating contestants to record promotional videos released on the “Hungkuang 5 Lights Award” Instagram account to drive popularity through likes. In the end, Liang Shan-chun from class 4 of the Extension Division’s Department of Hospitality Management won Best Popularity with 5847 likes.
The 21 finalists entering the finals stage chose songs of different eras and musical styles. After a round of hot performances on stage, the top winners were finally announced by 3 professional judges: Champion – Huang Sing-jui from the Department of Hair Styling and Design; 1st runner up – Pan Yu-ling from the Department of Nursing; 2nd runner up – Wang Pei-yi from the Department of International English; Honorable Mentions – Su Pei-yi from the Department of Cultural Design, Tang Ying-ling from the Department of Nursing, Lin Chien-chun from the Extension Division’s Department of Cultural Design; Best Popularity – Liang Shan-chun from the Extension Division’s Department of Hospitality Management.
今年報名共計49位參加10月19日的初賽，參賽者們展現了各自獨特的歌唱風格和才華。然而，由於激烈的競爭，只有一半的選手能夠成功晉級。這經過2位評審海選後共選出21位選手參加決賽，初賽淘汰制度，使得決賽時更具挑戰性，同時也增加了觀眾的期待和緊張氛圍。
學生會長黃俊翔表示：｢今年「弘唱五燈獎」想法源自於台灣早期歌唱比賽-五燈獎，想要讓弘光的同學能夠獲得上台表演的機會，並且能夠有一展長才時間，於是弘唱五燈獎就這樣登場啦。」為了增加校園中關注歌唱比賽的氣氛，學生會特地請參賽選手錄製一段影片宣導放至於「弘唱五燈獎」IG中，廣發IG按讚沖人氣，最後由進修部餐旅四甲梁善鈞同學以5847人按讚數獲得最佳人氣獎。
